BLONDIE have now confirmed the dates for their British tour, which starts immediately after Christmas and takes in eight towns around the country. They are the first dates the band have played here since August 1978 and their subsequent rise to 'superstardom'.
The band open at Leicester De Montfort Hall on December 27 and continue at Manchester Apollo 8, Glasgow Apollo 30-31, Edinburgh Odeon January 1-2, Newcastle City Hall 4-5, Deeside Leisure Centre 6, Birmingham Odeon 7-9, London Hammersmith Odeon 11-13.
Tickets, price £4.75 and £4.25 (Deeside £4.25 only), went on sale at the beginning of this week at all box offices except for Edinburgh, which are by postal application only. They are limited to four per person.
Blondie, who've just released a new single on Chrysalis called 'Union City Blue', will be arriving in Britain just before Christmas to rehearse. They are now finishing off work on a film in Texas, details of which will be forthcoming soon.
